Three paid Andrew Lloyd Webber work placements

Burnley Youth Theatre have received further funding from the Andrew Lloyd Webber foundation to offer 3 paid work placements, starting in September 2019, to 3 young people aged 16- 20  who consider themselves disadvantaged or feel excluded from opportunities into work.

This could be a young person who considers themselves to have a disability, identifies as LGBTQ+, suffering from mental health issues or an individual from a BAMER background or a low income family.

Burnley Youth Theatre is an arts organisation for children, young people and families.  All of our work aims to develop creativity, build confidence and give local people key life skills.  You will be supported with training and resources and will be given a DBS check.

The 3 paid work placements will start in September 2019.

We are looking to recruit 3 individuals to fill the 3 roles below: 

Trainee Creative Workshop Leader – Learn how to creatively deliver workshops on the core youth theatre programme. This role would include shadowing workshop leaders in Drama, Musical Theatre or Dance sessions and learning how to plan and deliver sessions. This paid placement is 7hrs per week for 10 weeks.

Front of House Assistant – Learn how to work behind the front desk, serving customers, ushering productions, answering the phone as well as any administrative work. This paid placement is 6hrs per week for 12 weeks.

Marketing Assistant – Learn how to help and promote Burnley Youth Theatre through administration support, social media and photography / creating short films. This paid placement is 6hrs per week for 12 weeks.

We are happy to be flexible to ensure you get the best out of your placement to help you secure work in the future. Hourly rate of pay will be minimum wage.
