Burnley Youth Theatre are recruiting for a Marketing and Social Media Officer to help us to promote and market all of our activities, productions and events. This will include promoting our core youth theatre sessions, professional productions, creative education offer to schools and fundraising events.
The successful candidate will be expected to use a range of marketing and audience development tools including print, social media, face to face and press and PR. This is a part time role (3 days per week) and would suit someone at an early stage in their career in marketing. You will learn on the job and have the opportunity to attend relevant training to develop your marketing, audience development and design skills.
About Burnley Youth Theatre
Burnley Youth Theatre is a vibrant arts organisation that was initially established in 1973 by a group of volunteer parents who wanted a safe place where their children could go and participate in drama based activities. Over the past 45 years, the organisation has grown significantly, we now operate from a purpose built theatre venue and our facilities include a 158 seat theatre, 3 studio spaces and 2 outdoor performance spaces.
Our core purpose is to engage young people and families in the creative arts. We provide activity across a range of art forms including drama, dance, musical theatre and film and we aim to provide inclusive opportunities that are accessible to everyone. As a charity, the work we deliver sits within our charitable aims and contributes to our mission statement ‘to creatively inspire children and young people to take their next steps’. Burnley Youth Theatre is a National Portfolio Organisation, regularly funded by Arts Council England.
