Bundle up and head off on an adventure this December as we bring the much-loved tale ‘The Snowman’ to life for our final interactive outdoor storytime of 2025! This festive special will include a magical appearance from Father Christmas himself and a chance to join him for a hot chocolate and photos with the rest of the group after the session.

What to expect?

Little ones and their grown ups will head up to our outdoor area The Storytellers Wood and hear the story ‘The Snowman’ by Raymond Briggs read aloud by Charly the Adventurer! The group will then head out onto our outdoor trail and see the book brought to life with plenty of interactive moments throughout including an appearance from Father Christmas!

Following the group storytime, your little ones will be encouraged to get mucky and play independently in nature with activities inspired by the month’s book such as creating their own picture for Father Christmas and a festive mud kitchen!

After the session the group will head indoors to warm up with a hot drink and biscuit with Father Christmas. Each child will receive a book to take home and have chance to speak to Father Christmas and have a photo with him.

Please note these sessions take place outdoors come rain or shine, so it’s recommended that you wear suitable warm clothing, waterproofs, and wellies, especially during the cold and wet months.
