Our theatre is a hub of creativity for everyone to experience whether you’re here to see our latest show, take part in a workshop or event, develop your skills as an early-career artist or to immerse yourself in our volunteer programme. Burnley Youth Theatre is a place where you can belong.
Our Inclusive Youth Theatre engages over 300 children, young people and families a week through creative workshops, projects and productions. Our fantastic team of experienced workshop leaders and directors provide an exciting space for our participants to develop their performance skills, build confidence and have fun.
We offer exciting curriculum-linked education sessions for schools, colleges or universities. With over 40 years experience working with pupils and teachers, our education programme champions arts-based learning to inspire and support the next generation of makers and creators.
Our innovative outreach programme creates authentic and accessible creative projects in response to our community. We work in partnership with alternative provisions, community centres, libraries and more to provide invaluable access to arts and culture for young people, families and adults often culminating in sustainable relationships with our wider programme.
Whether at our theatre or online, we are committed to programming the best professional touring shows for all our community to enjoy. We are passionate about bringing theatre companies from across the UK to Burnley to create accessible environments where audiences can be entertained and inspired.
Our Talent Development programme proudly invests in individuals who are passionate about the arts. We mentor and champion new and early career artists through our Trainee Practitioner placements, in-house theatre company Byte Back and young company First Byte. We also support all ages to gain first-hand experience in the industry through a wide range of volunteer opportunities.
